We were both working in the travel industry as sales people (Dave – El Cid Resorts & Realistic Asia; Freddie – Playa Resorts) and we found ourselves not working when the pandemic hit.  Travel ground to a halt.  We decided to use our unexpected time off to get out, explore and document our local communities and parks in British Columbia. 

DESCRIPTION:  This book is a photographic record of pandemic signs in British Columbia that are meant to help keep people educated and safe in parks and public spaces.  It may be a great gift or keepsake reminder of these unique times.

This book is a 32 page publication.  It is available in Magazine (soft cover, 8.5”x11”) format, Soft cover book (8”x10”), Hard cover book (8”x10”), PDF or eBook (epub or mobi formats*).

*Mobi format is viewable on Kindle devices and reader apps, and an epub format is viewable on Apple iPad®/iPhone® or Android devices.

PRICING:  is as follows (CAD) when ordering from us directly.  When ordering from Blurb.ca, the taxes and shipping will vary.

                 **Shipping is via standard Canada Post. 

                 We also will ship to the U.S. and quote in USD. 

                 Canada Post XpressPost or UPS (both trackable) are available for rush orders at higher shipping rates (~$25 CAD).

                 Note there are discounts for ordering more than 5 copies (on the book cost and shipping).    A portion of the sales profits of this book will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross and BC Transplant.

BOOK FORWARD:

We were both working in the travel industry as sales people (Dave – El Cid Resorts & Realistic Asia; Freddie – Playa Resorts) and we found ourselves not working when the pandemic hit.  Travel ground to a halt.  We decided to use our unexpected time off to get out, explore and document our local communities and parks in British Columbia. 

This is a photographic record of the pandemic signs in British Columbia that are meant to help keep us educated and safe.  Dave is primarily the photographer and photo editor.  Freddie filmed our walks and hikes, and published these on his YouTube channel – FreddieGotFurloughed.   Freddie and his YouTube channel were featured on CBC Radio (August 31, On The Coast) and CBC TV (September 12, Our Vancouver).

A portion of the sales profits of this book will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross and BC Transplant.  The Canadian Red Cross staff and volunteers continue their ongoing mission of education and emergency relief during the pandemic.  Freddie is a living kidney donor and volunteer with BC Transplant.  BC Transplant oversees all aspects of organ donation, family support and transplant across BC and manages the BC Organ Donor Registry.
