Don't you just love this time of the year?
Spring is here!!!
Well, that is unless you live in Calgary. What was
with the snow you guys have been getting??? :)
So how are you doing? Everything OK? Are you keeping
busy? How's business? I know, so many questions!!!
Things are pretty good with me and I can't complain.
As usual I have been on the road a lot, which for
the most part I really enjoy because it means I get
to see so many of YOU.
If was funny though, a couple of weeks ago I came
home from a trip and I didn't get a chance to unpack
my suitcase. Well, look what I found...

Recognizes Two Real Resorts with its Prestigious
International Star Diamond Award
THE ROYAL in Cancun
& THE ROYAL Playa del Carmen
New York/Cancun, MX -- Mexican hotel chain Real
Resorts today announced that its gourmet luxury
all-inclusive resorts, THE ROYAL in Cancun and THE
ROYAL Playa del Carmen are receiving the prestigious
International Star Diamond Award for the second year
in a row. The recognition is awarded by The American
Academy of Hospitality Sciences to select five star
hotels that exceed a selection of criteria for
facilities, operations and service. In addition the
AAHS is also awarding Real Resorts the Green Diamond
recognition for its commitment to ecology and the

Wedding Testimonial
Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort
I have to start this review by saying I read a lot of
reviews about this resort before we travelled and it
really is tough to judge what you might end up
getting. Many people had a great time and some not so
well, as for us it was an amazing wedding and the kids
loved the kids club. We visited March 21-28 2010.
The one thing I recommend is if you are travelling
with kids and want a little privacy its best to get
one of the suites. The one mistake we made was to
assume that the family room meant we got a suite...the
Familly room is one room with three beds in it. This
may work for some famillies but we travelled with 4
children ages 6-12, so it wasn't the best option for
us.
I must say that the food options are incredible and it
makes you feel secure in the fact that the staff eat
in the main buffet also, that goes to show that the
food is delicious with many options. The staff all
work very hard to please and we noticed how hard the
evening restaurant manager works. That guy was running
all over the place and taking care of many things all
at once. We tipped him the final evening because he
was doing an outstanding job. I know tipping is
recommend and not madatory but these people work hard
to do what they can to make you happy and make your
stay enjoyable..
We would like to give a special thanks to Eva the
wedding planner and also Alex the photographer.
They made our Wedding on the beach AMAZING!!! We
had our first marital spat in front of Alex the
photographer because he took such amazing photos I
wanted them all...in the end my wife agreed and is
extremely happy with all the pictures...oh and
Alex made an amazing video as well and I can't
stop plaing it. We love all the effort that Eva
and Alex put into making our day special...thanks
guys we really appreciate all your hard work.
Also our kids loved the kids club. On the first day we
arrived I took all the kids down to the pool and our 6
yr old said he wanted to spend his whole holiday in
the pool. I convinced him at dinner that night to
"check out" kids club. The morning we took him to kids
club he made sure to let me know "dad I'm just
checking out kids club, if I don't like it then we
spend the rest of our holiday at the pool"...of course
i reassured him...When kids club came up for lunch our
son ran over to us and said "DAD I WANT TO STAY AT
KIDS CLUB ALL 7 DAYS!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!" That
reassured us that the girls at the kids club are
amazing. We are the type of parents that are invovled
with everything our kids do, so that means we coach
sport activities and help with anything and
everything, it was nice to feel comfortable with the
girls of kids club. It gave us a little bit of a break
during the days. Ladies of kids club you are amazing.
Please make sure to tip these girls cause they work
hard and the kids get to have their own holiday.
All in all the Marina El Cid is a place we will visit
again with our kids...as we left the kids were all sad
to leave and to me that means that they all loved the
El Cid. We have a wonderful memory of our special day
on the beach and our kids had an amazing holiday that
they'll always remeber.

Value increased to $600US for 2011
This is great news!!! For arrivals starting on January
01, 2011 the value of the popular MEGA PASS is
increasing to $600US (from $300 in 2010).
When you book a minimum of 5 nights at El Cid Resorts
through a Canadian tour operator your clients will
automatically recieve their very own Mega Pass at the
time of check-in. This is a fantastic
added value.
The increase from $300US to $600US is for arrivals
