and Happy February!!!
First of
all I wanted to let you know about a great article that
was in the Calgary Herald last Friday, and I think
everyone should read it because it really puts things in
perspective regarding Mexico. Click

Do you want to live your life obsessing about tiny
risks or do you want to enjoy the fiesta?
Don't be fooled by the fear-mongering Canadian media,
beach destinations in Mexico are safe!!! I'm heading to
PVR in 2 weeks and I can't wait to enjoy the fiesta.
Anyways, on
another subject, I remember when I was a travel agent I
would get some pretty bizzare questions and comments from
clients. I'm sure you get your fair share of them too.
Well, I have to tell you a funny story, but this time it
was ME making the stupid comment... (we have to be able to
laugh at ourselves, right?)
A couple of
weeks ago we were making plans to go to Panorama BC for
the weekend. I called the resort's toll-free number and
gave the Reservations Agent our travel dates. She checked
the availability and said, "Mr Marsh, I can offer
you a very nice ski-in studio suite".
To which I
said, "Oh no, that's OK, we'll be driving there".
HAHA. Ooops. How can you tell I'm not a skiier??? Oh well,
it gave us both a good laugh and I guess that's the main
thing. Hopefully it made you smile too!!! :)
The
attached photo is from the weekend, proving that even when
I'm out snowshoeing in the middle of nowhere, I'm still
working...(or was I checking facebook?) LOL
