Hello and
Happy Leap Day!!!
I think
it's great that we get an extra day this year, but why is
the extra day in February??? I mean wouldn't it make much
more sense to do it in a better month like June, July or
August? Hello??? Who decided on February?? Geez, February
is already the worst month, why are we extending it??
Anyways, in
last month's newsletter I referenced a
great article from the Calgary Herald that was a voice
of reason concerning safety in Mexico. One of my favourite
lines was "Do you want to live your life
obsessing about tiny risks or do you want to enjoy the
fiesta?" Well, I just got back from Mexico
last week and I definitely enjoyed the fiesta!!
I was in
Puerto Vallarta for a week and it was fantastic. My friend
Mark has a time-share there and he kindly invited me down.
I used some points for the flight so it ended up being a
very cheap getaway.
Almost
every day we took the local bus downtown and went to the
beach, shopping (including local grocery store) and ate
out at some wonderful restaurants and never once did
either of us feel unsafe whatsoever. We had a great time
and everyone we met was so friendly and hospitable.I
really love Mexico!!!
By the way,
if you have clients going down and are looking for a great
restaurant recommendation I suggest
Gilmar Restaurant & Bar in Old Town. The waiter makes
the salsa fresh at the table and will tailor it to how you
like it (mild, medium or hot). The total bill for two
including tortilla soup, coconut shrimp entrees and a
generous tip came to $600 pesos which is about $47
Canadian. Really great food and service!!!
Oh, and
don't forget if you have any clients travelling to Europe
this summer, Edelweiss Air is offering
flights from Calgary and Vancouver direct to Zurich for
the summer season (3x week from YVR). To book please
contact Thomas Cook Prime Travel for the
best net fares. Click

Have a
great month and happy selling!!!
Sincerely,
