Two Seasons: Road Repair
& Snow Removal?
Well, I
was doing a series of travel agent shows in Edmonton and
Calgary at the beginning of last month. It happened to
be the week of "Snowmagedon" in Calgary where the city
got 20+ cm of unexpected snow, and suffered power
outages, as well as a lot of damage to trees and other
property. I was on the plane heading from Edmonton to
Calgary and I was fortunate to have a window seat. When
I looked out the window at my right shoulder, and saw
the green and golden fields below me, probably near Red
Deer.
Then I
looked out of the forward window, and it was a blanket
of white to the south! There was literally a line on
the prairie separating the colour from the lack of
colour. It was like something out of the Wizard of
Oz!
These two pictures were
taken a minute apart on that short flight. The funny
(or ironic) thing is that the calendar still said it was
technically SUMMER!
Well the
Fall season IS now here, along with the opportunity to
sell those Winter sun-destination dreams in Mexico and
Hawaii. Happy selling!

is well in Mazatlan after Odile
We proudly announce that the El Cid Castilla Beach
resort in Mazatlán, received this year's distinguished
recognition at the MLT University in St. Paul,
Minnesota. This award recognizes a very select group
of hotels for outstanding quality, customer service
and product delivery. Congratulations
El Cid!
Also, agents are asking how Mazatlan is doing after
Hurricane Odile brushed past the destination recently.
Well, I'm happy to report that all is well in
Mazatlan. The beaches beautiful and the water is
bluer than ever.

Relax and play at

one question that I get from potential guests is, "How
is the Beach?"

North Beach. I'm a scuba diver, and some of the best
snorkeling I have done, was right at Honua Kai's beach. |
