Dear Dave,

Happy Travel Agent Day!  It is a different one this year, but we still appreciate you and your efforts!  We sure hope you and your families are staying safe and sane.

Being patient sure is difficult, but necessary.  I certainly appreciate the fact that we have a safe shelter, plenty of good food available, fresh running water, great internet, and a place to walk by the Fraser River while social distancing.  Here is my April in 25 seconds...(CLICK HERE or on the photo below)

Besides doing a bit of work for my great clients, I'm also still spending time:

Scanning old photos (here is one from the 1980s...not sure the context, but wine was obviously involved...)

- Working on my hobby - my coin collection

- Making some DIY Masks (no sewing, 5 min) from an old t-shirt (instructions HEREThey actually work pretty well.

- Baking (no yeast, no kneading beer bread recipe HERE)

- Phoning a friend a day, just to check in with them - usually on my walk
- Researching Family Tree again

What are you doing to stay sane and productive?

SViet REALISTIC ASIA - New Destination - Mau Chau

While you are working from home and not booking much right now, this is a great opportunity to learn something new. Realistic Asia would like to introduce travel agents a new, "off the beaten path" destination in Vietnam - MAI CHAU. In this BLOG ARTICLE (click HERE) you'll learn a bit about Mai Chau.

This area is a mountainous region in northern Vietnam and is a perfect place for those who want to get away from crowds and explore nature. If you have a client looking for an adventurous, eco-friendly trip with cultural immersion experiences, breath-taking rice terrace landscapes and beautiful limestone hills, this destination is something to offer them.

Realistic Asia has a blog update that is regularly updates HERE.

You can also check out the latest Trip Advisor reviews for Realistic Asia HERE.

Remember that Realistic Asia has about 40 standard tours that you can find HERE.   You can also easily request NET pricing IN CAD (with or without the flights to Asia) on a CUSTOMIZED tour for your clients HERE
ElCidEl Cid Resorts - Riviera Maya - Full Exchange!

One of my favourite things about the two El Cid properties in the Riviera Maya (Puerto Morelos) is that there is FULL exchange for all guests between the properties. Whether the guests are on our AI plan or the upsell, Platinum AI plan (with lots of perks), guests at either property have access to all of the pools, a-la-carte restaurants and activities.

Some of the few things that do set the properties apart are that the Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort features a huge exciting pool with activities for all ages of guests.  Guests at the newer Ventus at Marina El Cid  property features several infinity pools, including the adults-only quiet pool and hot tubs.

Things like the kids club, teens club, the marina, amazing Spa and the Mercado de Dolores are all shared facilities for guests staying at either property. And remember, these 2 properties are only 20 minutes from the Cancun airport!

Of course, now may be a GREAT time to check your El Cid Rewards balance and use some point with some fun online shopping.  Check out your balance at the El Cid Rewards Program

Note that bookings must be made through any Tour Operator such: Sunwing, WestJet, etc. Bookings made it through online companies such: Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com will not be applicable to El Cid Rewards points.
