Dear
Freddie,
Let's face it,
as travel agents I know you've picked up a
lot of airline travel tips over the years.
Some of these tips were from your own
travels, from your colleagues or from your
clients. While I'm not an agent, as a person
who travels (flies) several times a month,
on business and for pleasure, here are a few
of my favourite airline travel tips:
| WEAR A SHIRT WITH POCKETS:
I can see my passport and boarding passes
at all times |
| WEAR SLIP-ON SHOES:
As it makes it easier going through
security |
| COLLAPSIBLE WATER BOTTLE:
I use a collapsible water bottle. It is
light and doesn't take up much room in my
carry-on when empty. I can fill it for
the flight when I get through security.
|
| WALK AT THE AIRPORT:
It is tempting to sit down at your gate
when you are through security, but I try
to walk the length of the terminal if I
have time before my flight. I certainly
can't walk much on the flight. |
| SITTING DOWN QUICKLY:
Have a light, fabric grocery bag packed in
your carry-on. At the gate, I put my ear
phones, neck pillow, iPad, water bottle,
sweater/light sweatshirt in it. When I
get to my seat, I can easily and quickly
put my carry-on in the over head bin,
while throwing the light bag in my seat,
with everything I may need for the flight.
|
| ZONE 2: Who doesn't
love having an open seat next to them on
the flight? I select seats toward the
back of the plane, as open middle seats
are more likely to be in the back. Also,
I tend to board sooner, so that overhead
bin space is not an issue. |
| WINDOW SEATS (solo traveler):
I prefer window seats, so I can lean and
nap when I'm not working. To maximize my
chances of an empty seat, I select a
window seat (toward the back) with aisle
seat already taken. Unless plane is
totally full, no one will select the
middle seat toward the back. |
| WINDOW SEATS (couples
traveling): If I'm traveling
with my partner, we select the window and
aisle seats toward the back for the same
reasons. If someone is assigned the
middle seat (as the flight is full), we
offer that person their choice of the
window or aisle. They are happy (as they
are not in the middle) and we are still
sitting together. |

travel tips?

I'll publish some of them in the July

Krystal
Ixtapa - Sandy's Favourite Things |
The Krystal Ixtapa is located 20 minutes
from the Ixtapa-Zihuatenejo Airport (ZIH), 5
minutes from the Marina and shopping area
and 15 minutes away from the picturesque
town of Zihuatenejo. It's on one of the
best beaches in the heart of Ixtapa hotel
district covered with soft golden sand.
My husband and
I were in Ixtapa in April, for site
inspections, and a few days of relaxation
and exploring.
The main pool area is the centerpiece of
Krystal Ixtapa and is considered to be one
of the most unique and beautiful pools in
all of Ixtapa. My husband and I sure
enjoyed relaxing around the pool.
I loved
exploring the wide variety of dining choices
at the Krystal Ixtapa, including the
Casablanca-style ambience of the famous
Bogart's Restaurant or dance the night away
at Christine Nightclub.
