It's already February,
so time again for the
Super Bowl and the Oscar
parties! Are you a
Super Bowl or an Oscar
person? (I guess you
could be both or
neither...)
Not surprisingly, we are
Oscar people! Each year
since 2004, we have
hosted or attended a
rotating Oscar party
with 3 other couples of
good friends. I do have
each person fill out a
spreadsheet Oscar ballot
voting on all 24 award
categories. While no
money rides on the
results, the winners do
get some fun prizes, and
bragging rights. Of
course, all of the
potluck food has to be
related to current Oscar
movie nominees.

I know similar party
traditions happening
around the annual Super
Bowl weekend. I can
even imagine some
friendly betting making
the game even more
interesting.
No matter which you
