Dear Dave,
I visit a lot of
agencies, and always
remind agents about the
El Cid Rewards program.
Even though agents
really enjoy receiving
these fun and valuable
rewards, I find that one
of the biggest
challenges that agents
have, is
remembering
passwords, details and
website url's for these
important hotelier,
cruise and tour operator
rewards programs.
Of course, stick notes on
computer monitors, and a
little notebook in your
desk, are systems some
people use. Other people
use software password
programs, but who wants to
put all of your important
passwords in the hands of
a corporation, that may
not be around next month,
or suffer a data breech?
I'll let you in on my
secret method of saving
all of my important
passwords for over 15
years now - Save them in a
password-protected
spreadsheet!
Also, if you save your
password spreadsheet on a
trusted cloud site, such
as Dropbox or Google Docs,
it would be available
where ever you are.
I prepared a password spreadsheet template for you to try out/use. You
can download a copy of the
Excel password template
HERE.
Here are just a couple of additional tips.
1. If you download
the template, The El Cid
Rewards site is already
included - just add your
user name/email and
password.
2. Rename
the excel spreadsheet and
store it somewhere (maybe
on a cloud site) where
you'd always have access
to it.
3. (optional) Add
a password for
your spreadsheet (so
others can't open it).
I've included instructions
for adding a password to
an .xls file in MS Excel
2003 and older. In newer
versions of Excel, or
other spreadsheet
programs, just check the
"Help" for how to add a
password to your
spreadsheet.
Have a good day, and remember those rewards programs!

I changed my password everywhere to
"incorrect." That way when I forget it,
it always reminds me, "Your passowrd is
incorrect."

El
Cid upcoming FAMs
|
We host some great El Cid FAMs
several times a year, both to
the El Cid properties in
Mazatlan (Sept?) and the
Riviera Maya (May or Dec?).
Not only do agents have
plenty of free time get to
know the El Cid properties
well, they have the
opportunity to explore the
destination, and become
destination experts.
Here are summaries of
previous FAMs.
Watch for details of
upcoming FAMs HERE soon.
