Dear Dave,
Besides taking care of
your family, friends and
clients, how are you
using your time during
these crazy times? Once
you have taken care of
your client
cancellations/re-schedules,
you may find yourself at
home and with some time
on your hands.
When have we had an
opportunity in our lives
to connect with
immediate family, as
well as get to those
things that we know we
should do? Here is a
list of things to
consider checking off
your list while we have
a chance.
PERSONAL:
WALKS -
Get out and enjoy some
fresh air. It will be
good for your body and
mind. Search for some
local hikes (with lots
of appropriate social
distancing) that work
for you (and gas is
cheaper to get there
right now). The photo
above and below is us
hiking at Buntzen Lake
(BC) 2 weeks ago.
COOK -
Prepare some good food
with your family. If you
want some recipes that
will use what you have
(so you don't have to go
to the grocery store)
check out
Supercook
(website or app) or
AllRecipes
(website or app)
SCAN PHOTOS
- I find that my older
photos (from the 1970s
and 80s) are fading.
Before they totally fade
away, I'm trying to scan
them to preserve them
digitally. You don't
have a scanner? No
problem, your smartphone
camera will do a pretty
good job for you.
COMPUTER BACKUP
- Are you backing up
your computer data
regularly? Of course we
all know that hard
drives to fail and
computer viruses happen.
I like a free piece of
software " Free
File Sync"
to assist with this
necessary process.
I also recommend backing up both onsite (an external hard drive) as
well as offsite (cloud)
backup. Now is the time
to safeguard your
important business data,
personal data and photo
memories.
HELPING FIGHT
COVID-19 FROM HOME -

computer power start

PROFESSIONAL:
PLAN -
Develop a
marketing/social media
plan for when things
return to normal. Check
out Catherine Heeg's
Facebook page
HERE
INBOX - Clean out your email inbox. Do you use your
email Inbox as a "To Do"
list. Well, now is the
time to deal with those
emails and clear that
Inbox. You will feel
great that you
accomplished something
important.
ONLINE TRAINING
- Do some online
training so that you are
up on your products when
the time comes.
Here is a
link to our upcoming
online training
sessions for April.
In addition, we have
several prerecorded (30
min) training videos
also available to watch
anytime.
When this is over, you
don't want to be saying
"I should have done..."
while it was slow...

El
Cid Resorts - What I'm Missing
|
While we are all waiting,,I
can't help but think about
the things I'm missing right
now about El Cid Resorts and
my annual FAMs there. Those
of you who have been on a
FAM with me definitely know
what I'm talking about.
COCONUT SHRIMP
- It is definitely the first
thing I order when I arrive
at the El Cid properties in
Mazatlan.
QUIET BEACH
- The Marina Beach property
in Mazatlan has such a nice
quiet beach, but still has
the club house with staff
taking care of your food and
drink needs.
BEACH HAMMOCK
- Even when the El Cid
properties in the Rivera
Maya are full, there always
seem to be empty hammocks
and lounge chairs on the
beach.
SPA TREATMENTS
- The spa at the El Cid
properties in the Rivera
Maya is amazing. I miss the
2 hour hydro-therapy and
full body massage treatment!
Watch for some FAMs in the
Fall.
Of
course, now may be a GREAT time
to check your El Cid Rewards
balance and use some point with
some fun online shopping. Check
out your balance at the El
Cid Rewards Program,
Note that bookings must be
made through any Tour Operator
such: Sunwing, WestJet, etc.
Bookings made it through online
companies such: Expedia,
Travelocity, Hotels.com will not
be applicable to El Cid Rewards
points.
