Greetings!

All of your local BDMs and Sales Managers, including me, want to help you with client special requests (about future bookings) and questions/concerns you get when your clients are on property. Please ALWAYS email us ALL of your client details. We need all of this information:

* Property (be specific)

* Names(s) (of all clients involved)

          * Tour operator and booking number

           * Dates - Arrival and departure

           * Room category booked

           * Specifics of the request/concern

           * Room number (if they are on property and you have it)

Emailing us the complete details lets us forward the information via email quickly and without additional time and another email back to you. See the additional details/tips in the “Continued” story.

EL CID RESORTS - El Cid Rewards

Does El Cid have an Agent Rewards program?

 

Yes, for almost 14 years, I’ve been promoting the El Cid Rewards program that works for all 8 of the El Cid Resorts.

El Cid Rewards is a unique program that provides you, our valued travel agents, with the opportunity to earn points for each booking you make. You will be able to redeem your points for a wide variety of fabulous products available in our online catalog. You can redeem your points for things like Apple products, Tim Horton’s gift cards, movie gift card and much, much more in the online catalog. Agents tell me all of the time that the El Cid Rewards program is one of the more generous ones in the industry.

HELP US HELP YOU (continued)

I have received emails that just say “Please assist my clients on property.” with NO additional details… I often get requests with just a tour operator booking number. We do not have access to any TO site to look up the details of that booking number… I often get requests with many of the above details, but NO property (or just the brand but NO specific property). Think about if you got a voice mail message from someone saying I want to go on a trip, and it is urgent (with no additional details)…

 

If it is just a special request (like rooms close together, or celebrating a special event), having all of the details makes it easy for us to email the team on property to note immediately. Of course, there are no guarantees for special requests, but we do note them. Also, please always sent the special requests to the tour operator you book with. The tour operator actually “owns” the booking, not the property.  

Of course, please make the special requests reasonable. I’ve actually received requests like “My very good clients booked the “Deal of the Day” or lead-in room category, over Christmas, and can you see if you can upgrade them to the Presidential Suite?” Please always book the room category that your clients will enjoy.

 

Emailing is the only way to get us the details so we can forward it efficiently. Please do not FB message, text or leave details on a voice mail message, as we can’t forward that to the team on property to note.

EL CID REWARDS
The El Cid Rewards Program has been around for years and provides a generous amount of points that agents can redeem for gift cards or online shopping (Tim Horton's, movie, Apple products and MANY more.) Note that this program works for all 8 El Cid Resorts.

Note that bookings must be made through any Tour Operator such: Sunwing, WestJet, etc. Bookings made it through online companies such: Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com will not be applicable to El Cid Rewards points.
