Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro is an exciting restaurant with a decidedly hip and urban feel. Voted best pizza in the valley, Matchbox serves made-to-order fresh pizza baked in a wood-burning oven. The menu is equally divided into two parts. The first features incomparable east-coast style thin crust pizza, while the second, includes chef driven bistro fare featuring fresh fish, steak, chops, innovative salads and sandwiches Bill's Pizza 119 S Indian Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92262 760-325-5571 My favorite pizza in PS. Manhattan in the Desert
The Upscale Deli in the Desert - Manhattan in the Desert is Palm Springs’ more upscale deli. Ever since this deli opened about three years ago, it is always mobbed. Never mind if it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, the parking lot is full and you usually have to wait; often though for only a few minutes. Of course while you are waiting you are face-to-face with their humongous deserts and pastries; each of which could easily serve two to three.
Since opening their first location in 1953, Sherman’s has become a landmark in the desert. This Kosher- style family restaurant, still owned and operated by Sherman Harris and his son, Sam Harris, offers an extensive menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner reminiscent of New York style deli restaurants. Bread and deserts are baked fresh daily. And, don’t miss breakfast featuring fresh baked cinnamon bread, French toast and 8-egg omelets with thick bacon! Trio Restaurant
